UPDATE: The folks at the Sports Talk Media Network is reporting now admit that the school that Dante Miller already has a preferred walk on spot for and is being considered for a scholarship slot is South Carolina and NOT Washington.
That makes much more sense based on this report.
If that happens, that STILL would be the most prominent transfer landing spot for an Ivy skill position player transfer this year.

6-3 215-pound QB/DL Joshua Powell from St. Christopher's School in Richmond, Virginia has committed to the Lions. Powell also had an offer from Yale.
Powell started at QB in high school, but was also an impact player at outside linebacker. It looks like he will play on the defensive line for the Lions.
He will be the first St. Christopher's grad to come to Columbia Football.

This was a very good day in the history of Columbia recruiting.
First off, we have 6-2 180 pound WR Jordan Kelly from Refugio HS in Refugio, TX near Corpus Christi. Kelly had offers from Virginia, Princeton, Brown, and others.
He will be the first Refugio HS grad to come to Columbia Football.
Next, we have 6-4 220 pound D/TE Stryker Leschber from Thorndale HS in Thorndale, TX.
Stryker had offers from Penn and Valparaiso, among others. He will be the first Thorndale grad to come to Columbia Football.
Kudos to Offensive Coordinator Mark Fabish, who netted these two players from his recruiting territory in Texas.

On a sad note, Mike Elbon '92 died this past weekend. He was my CU classmate and the first and still the only Wagoner HS grad (Wagoner, OK near Tulsa) to come to Columbia Football. He had been living back in his hometown of Wagoner for some time. Condolences to his friends and family,
For some reason, the Columbia Football Twitter account (@CULionsFB) has been suspended for the last several days. Since Twitter rarely even tells the owners of accounts it suspends the reasons for it, I doubt we will get any answers anytime soon.
But if anyone does know why this has happened and if anyone can do anything about it, let us know!
The news flow has dried up in recent days, so I thought it might be cool to read up a bit more about incoming QB commit A.J. Simpkins and the talent-rich Christ School which put him on the recruiting map.
