Getting Ready for Game 2
Inwood, New York
Coming off some quiet days for Rosh Hashanah, today’s Roar Lions 2025 Podcast will include the first of two Georgetown game previews, the fans’ guide to going to a Columbia Football home game, and my picks for week 5.
If anyone needed more evidence to hammer home the 1,000-watt truth that Poppe was an excellent hire, I’d have a hard time conjuring up a more bulletproof Exhibit A than last season’s last-to-first finish winningly topped off with the Ivy League Championship!
He immediately showed what he was made of, and the team responded to him forcefully and triumphantly.
Go Lions!!!
Huge thanks to you, Jake, for all that you do here!
Chase is doing bare minimum. If it wasn’t for that unsportsmanlike penalty we would have been stalled in offense. This is an ok team without the starting QB that we should be beating by more and he also puts the offense I bad situation s like third and long and 4 down too. And let’s not count the interception.
Let’s do this. Our day.

ReplyDeleteIs the Georgetown QB Lauter back from injury?
ReplyDeleteBig week for Poppe. A lot of questions I think will be able to be answered this week in regards to it being a good move to move on from the Fabish Era
ReplyDeleteI think those questions were answered last year. By the results of both coaches mentioned records last year
DeleteChicken Little is wrong! The sky ISN"T falling! Watch Walters drag the defenders into the end zone and Charlie keeping them out!
ReplyDeleteChampionship banner to be unveiled pre game. Great start to the Poppe Era. Let's go Lions!

I'm so amped up that I'm headed Baker tonight! I feel like the O is gonna cook and the D is gonna bring the ruckus. Let's go Lions!
ReplyDeleteGoodwin with a BIG game today as Seitu opens it up!

DeleteMediocre pass protection so far and poor run game.
DeleteWhen Sanchez is in the offense looks more relaxed and runs more smoothly. Chase is a bit wild.
DeleteUp 13 at half is a good start. We aren't as sharp as we can be, especially Goodwin and the O but we are improved from last week.
ReplyDeleteNice job by our secondary on the goal line.
