Recruiting Lines Open?
Galen Snyder today
One of Columbia's greatest transfers was Galen Snyder '91, a standout linebacker I last wrote about back in 2009.
Since then, Snyder has built a very strong program for that suburban Philly school and sent some players to top college programs.
One of his top-rated rising seniors is a kicker, Mikhail Kniaziewicz.
Last year, Pennsbury produced Pennsylvania's top-rated OL recruit in JJ Denman.
The point is, Pennsbury should be a good pipeline for the Lions.
Does anyone know if Coach Snyder is on board?
Has anyone from the football office contacted Snyder lately?
Love to know.

Jake-
I spoke with Galen after the passing of a classmate/teammate Bobby Ray a few months back. I believe that his son will be a senior soon (possible recruiting coup). At any rate, Galen mentioned that he has 1-2 Div.-I recruits every other year. With all of the coaching changes in recent years there has not been a steady flow of inquiries from the Lions regarding his players. Hopefully, that will change in the near future; especially with all of the connections that Galen has in his league. It would be a major coup for Coach Mangurian's Staff to reconnect with Galen.
Jake,
More good news from Dave Lombardi, the Scout Fox sports analyst who first broke the story about quarterback Brett Nottingham's posssible transfer from Stanford to Columbia. Mr. Lombardi is now reporting that Columbia is one of the four schools that standout Notre Dame, Sherman Oaks, California quarterback, Kelly Helinski, will be visiting in January. Hilinski, a 6'6" quarterback, seems like a natural fit for Columbia as the aspiring pre-med's goal is to help find a cure for Lou Gehrig's disease.
Interesting, to say the least. The other 3 official visits are to Arkansas, Colorado and Yale.

Agreed, Dr. V- He's looking at Yale and the 9th and 10th Ivies. Both Arkansas and Colorado either have, or are searching for, new coaches.
Syracuse made most of their practice time at the Baker Athletics Complex as they whomped West Virginia, 38-14 at snowy Yankee Stadium's Pinstripe Bowl. Congratulations Orangemen!
Nice to see cooperation between two of New York's oldest football programs with storied histories that don't get nearly the amount of publicity in local sports media that they deserve..
Spec is confirming that Nottingham is transferring to Columbia. Quotes Nottingham.
Greetings! Very helpful advice wіthin this ρoѕt!
It's the little changes that produce the most important changes. Thanks a lot for sharing!
