Film Stars

Just another gem I found on the interwebs this weekend: an old newsreel report on the Columbia Lions visiting Hollywood just after their Rose Bowl victory in January, 1934.

Legend has it that QB Cliff Montgomery was offered a movie contract that day, but he decided to go back to school.

    It is almost unbelievable that that much media attention was paid to the Rose Bowl winners.

    Great to see the famous KF-79 winning touchdown run! The lions look good with those black arm and shoulder stripes. I say bring 'em back!
