For what it’s worth, (and I think we’ve established it’s not
worth all that much), the starting lineup for the Lions game against Penn this Saturday have now been
released.
Once again Kelly
Hilinski is listed as the starter, but we wait to see if there will be any
last minute change to that as there was last week.
WR Connor Nelligan
is not listed anywhere, and I have to think the hard shot he took late in the
game last week may have him out for this game. That would be a big blow to an
already weak Columbia passing attack. Freshman WR Cameron Dunn appears to be getting the start in Nelligan’s place. Fellow
frosh WR Toure Douglas cracks the
two deep as Dunn’s backup. Sophs Chris
Connors and Isaiah Gross are still MIA despite rumors that at least Connors
would reappear in time for this game.
Otherwise, the listed lineups show no change from the last
few weeks.

Here is ultimately your problem(Personality, Attitude, Leadership, Mentoring MIA) -http://www.bucstats.com/?p=10467- "Mangurian joined the Bucs staff in 2009 under then offensive coordinator Jeff Jagodzinski to implement the zone blocking scheme. But he has struggled to get along with players and some members of the staff.", "But Mangurian’s coaching style was not condusive to the long-term growth or consistent with the chemistry"
No different in NFL or College.

"“I think there was a disconnect between him and the offensive cooridnator. … I think it goes beyond the Xs and Os,” Stroud said. “[Considering Mangurian was signed for 2011,] it’s not so much about production. It’s about personality.”
I'm curious to know why is no one talking about Hank Trumbull getting a few snaps at QB? He's a sophomore QB in the roster and considering the QB troubles still persisting with McDonough & Hilinski, I'm very surprised Trumbull hasn't been mentioned in the QB role for the Lions.
Isn't it more surprising that we haven't used the wildcat? I think we ran two unsuccessful plays out of the formation vs. Monmouth and then abandoned it. Given our problems passing, the wildcat might've helped keep the defense off balance.
#19 can run the wildcat, but only if he lines up like Epperly and either hands off or passes out of that formation first. Right now it is a dead giveaway.
are you guys serious?
Hilinski started 0 games and played in a few quarters. Trevor started but didn't play in a comp-plete game yet so try another QB?
Have you seen a practice? after Brett goes down KH and TM are our best bets at QB and need the reps to determine our direction.
I for one would like to see either one get the entire game (or 2 or 3)before making a change and see if one of them can get the team behind his leadership. I saw some very encouraging signs from the freshman in that regard.
We need sparks AND completions and a guy that can sell the PA since it appears that is what we are going to stick with regardless of the outcome.
I also agree that KH should take the snaps going forward.
Any idea what's up Jake Wannamaker?? Injured, inactive, off the team? I know the kid has talent.
