  1. Well, 45-0 at the beginning of the 4th, and mine is the first post.
Is it that no one is watching/hearing the game, or that no one cares about commenting.
    Let's call this another replay.

  2. Thought the Harvard broadcast via ESPN3 was pretty well done. Arguably the equal of the ACC Network Syracuse-Duke game I was watching simultaneously .

  3. I am seeing the light with the need for a JV team. If they had that going at least this season there would be some hope with developing the younger guys. Though of course none of it would not matter in the slightest with this coaching staff in place next season.

I'm not saying McDonaugh is at fault or not a good player but he has looked helpless out there most of his PT (as did Kelly Hilinski in this program but we know what he could really do). I am fearing missing out on the talents of another promising freshman QB along with other recruits who would otherwise be valuable contributors if the right coaching was there.

  4. I don't think I have ever seen anything quite like what I saw today. possibly one of the worst plays I have ever seen was the receiver hook and ladder behind the line of scrimmage. I have never seen 3 interceptions returned for TDs in the same game and there could have been 2 more if the defense knew how to catch a ball that hit them in the numbers.
Kudos to the administration, coaches, football advisory committee, AD, and all the supporters of Pete "I have no excuses, but the kids are to blame" Mangurian

  5. Which begs the huge question; how many quality/talented recruits have we wasted and ill-used over the years because of bad coaching and lack of talent to protect or leverage them?
Who knows what Nottingham might have accomplished this year if the whole model wasn't broken.

This must be fixed from the ground up.

  6. Excuse me, but I hope no one is surprised. I told you and told you and told you this would happen over a year ago. And I'm no prophet.

  7. we need Ed Gennero to come in and turn this program around.

  8. Does anyone know where the NHDC lies on this matter? They MUST have had several emergency meetings on Mangurrian already, I assume.Someone must know their position...

The problem with recruiting smart athletes for the football team is that they ultimately realize playing at Columbia is not worth any of the trouble.

    The trouble being

    Losing
Taking a bus to and from practice
Waiting for buses to take you to and from practice
Waiting in the rain/cold for these buses
Finding time to actually do schoolwork
Having coaches that are idiots (just look at the record for fucks sake)
Putting in too much effort during in-season practices in an attempt to accomplish what should've been done during the offseason
Offensive lineman that look like basketball players
Offensive lineman that cannot comprehend an altered snapcount - not even in practice - wasting everyone's and pissing off the coaches

I didn't play for Mango but attempted to give him a chance. After seeing that the playbook that was going to be installed (without any consideration of personnel) was a copy/paste version of the Patriots playbook - and seeing McDaniels, the would be OC, leave and I kind of got the feeling that this was the start of another failure.

  10. Just so we're clear, I counted 2.5 sacks and 5 tackles that coul be credited to Pace.

Can someone please work with this kid if we're to endure him further. The wight room and agility coach await your 911 call!

  11. I think we might easily drop that lament that players have to take a bus to practice. I often stop at college campuses, large and small alike, when traveling. And I can assure you that at the likes of both Alcorn State and Clemson players do indeed hop buses to get to :gthe field.":

  12. Harvard just put a video of a "day in the life of a football player at Harvard," and the player is seen TAKING A BUS TO PRACTICE!!

  14. That's a very sad statement Pat or have you not seen what a sprinkling of strong players can do when a football program is mismanaged and poorly led? Never mind. Keep that foot wedged solidly in your mouth and your head you know where.
