BREAKING: Bagnoli/Recco Interview Now Online

Jerry Recco's post 1st-practice interview with new Head Coach Al Bagnoli is now available here.

I thought Bagnoli was a lot more forthcoming than we've become used to under our last few coaches. He talked about changes he's looking to make on offense at QB and even mentioned the fact that we're looking at possible transfers at this stage.

The video of the practice that sprinkles in and out of the interview also provides some clues.

One thing I noticed is that LB Tyler Kwiatkowski appears to be now playing in the offensive backfield.

Watch and enjoy and analyze what you see.

Bagnoli said that they were given an "extension internally" and they signed two players. How many transfers will the football team be allowed to bring in- can we get to 30?

Such a refreshing change of pace. Even the brief practice clips are encouraging.

That said, I fell for each and every april fool's joke played on me today. hook , line and sinker. At least 5 gotyas. I was told someone bought me tacos for lunch and when none were at my desk I actually wondered how that could be. Many others, including a stern warning from my CEO I missed a required 5AM tai chi all hands.

Al said that they added a WR and an OL bringing the class to 23. Must mean that he sees Tre as a slot receiver.

I think hes already ahead of PM and his staff. The key phrase he kept saying was "play to what kids do best" or put them in right positions. I thought PM tried to force kids into HIS way and didnt play to their strengths. Give CU 2 wins this yr

Very impressed with the interview. Easy to see why he is a consistent winner. Can feel the excitement in the air. Happy to see staff will not be trying to fit square pegs in round holes. Anticipating some new successes from untried, unused players.
This attitude by the coaching staff will insure that the depth chart will be deep and each position will have the best backups possible.

I agree with them getting the Tre kid then. Didnt see him as a RB. Now get that kid in some open space and he could cause damage in the Ivys. He doesnt need much blocking once he gets pass the first level of defenders.

Tre's 4.46 40 is excellent; that is even quicker than the great Austin Knowlin, who ran a 4.49 at his pro day. I would need to see how quickly he comes out of his breaks and how he catches the ball. But that 40 time would probably put him in the top two or three guys on our roster (we have a rising sophomore DB who saw some playing time last year who also has very good straightaway speed--can't remember his name)

OldLion, I believe you're referring to Cameron Roane. By the way, not to spoil the party, but a much higher 40 time was posted for Gabriel on one of the football sites. We'll find out soon enough who is in error.
