Columbia Transfer
Carson Griffis
As most astute Columbia fans already know, the Lions have picked up a transfer from Auburn by the name of Carson Griffis.
Griffis was a walk on at Auburn where he was switched on the roster from his HS position of QB to WR. His speed and overall athleticism are his calling cards as opposed to fitting in at the QB or WR position.
The educated guess is that Griffis will give it a shot at CU as a running QB in the mode of the now-departed rising sophomore Hunter Petlansky, who has left Columbia.
We await more news and names when Columbia announces its official list of 2017 newcomers, presumably later this month.

Petlansky was a huge power runner at QB. First, do we know why he left? Second, this young man seems like an entirely different type of player and does not seem like a short yardage QB.
what happened with Petlanksy?
