1) Princeton
Is there anyone even disputing this anymore? I began this year saying that Princeton was an amazing program, but not quite at the level of one that just reloads every year. Well, I was wrong. The Tigers are an amazing program.
2) Penn
The Quaker defense has given the Penn passing game enough time to develop. This team could go 9-1.
3) Yale
The Elis suffer from inconsistent offensive play.
4) Harvard
Princeton exposed all of Harvard's lingering weaknesses.
5) Cornell
The Big Red continues to win the games it can win, period.
6) Dartmouth
Look for the Big Green to take a page out of the Cornell book in the coming weeks.
7) Columbia
Lions are playing beneath what their talent level should be yielding.
8) Brown
Bears keep faltering when it counts.

I think it goes back to the Princeton game IMHO. We played Princeton pretty much even up but suffered from a few mistakes, including chasing two points early in the game and then running that inane wildcat instead of playing straight up. I don’t know who made those calls, and it is easy enough to say that we failed to execute, but as Bill Parcells used to say, his job was putting the players in the best position to win. In the absence of those two bad calls we would have had a half-time lead. Princeton only put together one decent drive in the entire quarter, the rest of their points coming on short field gifts. Football is a game of momentum, and once it is lost it’s hard to recapture it.
Do you think Dartmouth should beat Princeton?
No. I think Princeton is better and had we not shot ourselves in the head we should have beaten Dartmouth by two scores.
Princeton , is the cream of the crop at this point. Yale is winnable game, with the way their QB plays. They have talent. But Reno , the HC and Cahill the OC are unspectacular and plain dumb in their approach to the game. It’s a running team trying be something they’re not.
I was at the game and to me the teams were even in an incredibly sloppy effort on both sides. We ran the ball better. They passed the ball better. We fumbled 4 times. They fumbled 4 times. They had 8 penalties, we had 1. Both missed easy FGs. I sure didn’t think we were two TDs better than them, considering we were down 15 late in the third Q and the players and coaching staff then helped lead us on a comeback.
Let’s hope we don’t spot them our usual one to two scores before we come to life.
Assuming Columbia's Game Notes are correct Joe Green will be playing tomorrow night.
In this league the deep ball often leads to a PI call if it is incomplete, and the rare interception is usually as good as a punt (or better based upon last weekend’s euphemistically called kicking game).
Thought Joe had a season ending injury? And if its true that he is starting that is pretty disappointing considering Bell has done a better job than him.
In the mysterious world of college sports injuries, it is difficult to know what's going on unless the injured athlete himself authorizes the release of information. At this time, we seem to know almost nothing about Joe's medical condition including when, where and how his injury occurred. For all we know, Green may have been playing hurt the whole season. In any event, while Caden Bell certainly played well against Dartmouth, it is bound to be helpful to the Lions if Green is available to play tomorrow against Yale.
