3 Columbia Players to Watch
-DB Hayden McDonald #3 will likely be seeing a lot of chances to pick off or knock down passes Saturday as Marist's passing game really sprays things all over the place. Don't be surprised if McDonald is an impact player.
-KR Carter McFadden #23 might get a chance to feast off of Marist's looser kick coverage teams. He could break one.
-WR Marcus Libman #3 (also) may be the beneficiary of a Marist defense that seems to leave receivers open in the middle of the field very often.
3 Marist Players to Watch
-QB Brock Bagozzi #18: yes, the QB is always in focus, but Bagozzi seems to be evolving and improving as the season goes along. He's also a good runner. Fun to watch.
-LB Mike Arrington #2 is the team's overall leader and will be specifically focused on stopping the CU running game.
-WR Matt Stianche #19 is a 6-3 receiver who has been putting up good numbers so far this year. Marist will likely try to test the Lion secondary using his height advantage.

Another Marist Player to Watch is Amin Woods the running back who ran for 232 yards last week. Columbia needs to stop him somehow if it is going to win the game.
Our women sports teams seem to be outperforming our men's sports teams especially in basketball and soccer. Does anyone have an explanation why that is the case?
Ugh. Give it a rest dude
Although nearly halftime, the weather has rendered it nearly impossible for us to learn anything new about our passing offense.
On a relative basis, they have better players and coaching staffs.
Saw 2 maybe 3power sweeps first half. Took how many years?
It was never the defense that ever concerned anyone. Afterall, we held Princeton to a touchdown and a field goal.
And how did that work out?
We need an offense that can put up points. The team is led by a long time Offensive Coordinator.
I guess people will say two games were played in awful weather, or some other excuse why the offense is impotent.
I get it;, a win, is a win. Yes, I probably should show more gratitude and joy.
If we want to win any games in the Ivies, Green has to play. It’s not rocket science, Mark.
Here here NJ Lion! Why haven't we seen Green?
First half run them out of town. Second half virtually abandon the run. Student body left was huge against Marist.
Mc Fadden looking good lately but still exhibits poor judgment on when to execute kamikaze catch and run. Better discuss with him or expect a game like last year's Yale game and this year's Princeton fumble.
How long before we start hearing how good Georgetown really is after their game today against Penn?
Need a speed back to complement Georgi in a 2 back set at times. Innovation, never a strong point in the Hurry Up and Wait.
We have no passing game; great receivers, great runners, excellent OL, but our QB is not a good passer. I hate to say it because he is a gutty player, but he just cannot make enough throws. Kudos for defense—excellent effort.
Wake up Coach. It's time for a QB change
We are four games into the season. I would think that is enough time for a new Head Coach and a new Offensive Coordinator to have gotten their feet wet. Let’s put aside what has happened thus far. No sense debating if Georgetown is real, or if a tight end trapped a ball. Let’s start fresh.
There are six games left. Three against top tier squads: Harvard, Yale and Dartmouth. Two of those are on the road.
Three against middling talent: Cornell, Brown, Penn. Two of those are at Baker.
What is fair to expect from the Interim Coach for him to have the “Interim” dropped?
I say, he needs to win four of those six. Odds are, based on the acceptance of mediocrity in the past, (witness Men’s Basketball), probably two wins gets him hired.
Let the games begin!
Yes. Baby Gronk reminds me of O’Neill who is on the Vikings. Very similar backgrounds
Green has to play; otherwise we will see 8 in the box for the rest of the season. How much can we ask of our RBs and OL, and our defense, without a passing game. Once again a wide open WR was open by 4 yards on a deep ball which was overthrown. Green would have made that play.
On Bell's one deep pass attempt today he overthrew the receiver so he certainly has the arm to throw deep. Maybe he's in some kind of weather related slump that will go away as conditions improve
Excellent O-line? They can run block but Bell was under pressure all day in passing game.
Yes excellent like play. Our LT will be a pro
Agreed. Let’s give Bell a chance to catch his breath.
