You have my gratitude as well as that of Tod Hawks, for posting the very interesting local San Antonio television station's interview of Columbia football recruit, Xadrian Huerta. Ordinarily we do not learn much about a recruit other than his accomplishments on the field and the names of the schools that recruited him. In Huerta's case, the San Antonio TV station's interview is more about him as a person than as athlete. Obviously, Huerta is an outstanding young man with strong academic skills and deep family values. Certainly, we all wish him much success on and off the field at Columbia.

And congratulations to the Columbia Baseball Team that beat Penn in a double-header on Sunday past, winning both games, which is exactly what Columbia needed to do, and thereby secured another Ivy League championship!

In my opinion, Columbia has two of the very best college head coaches anywhere in Al Bagnoli and Brett Boretti. Al is already a legend in college football circles and Boretti is starting to make college baseball history as well. The magnitude of what Boretti's team has already achieved this year is beginning to get noticed which is certainly to the benefit of Columbia and the Ivy League. It's too bad that we do not have a Pat Conroy out there writing about Columbia's Championship Season.

I would add Megan Griffith to the list of outstanding coaches. She and her teams have already made history and will surely go even further in the coming years.

100% in agreement with you Harry--Megan Griffith is an outstanding basketball coach--wish I could say the same thing about our men's coach, but his record speaks for itself

Thanks HarryM for mentioning Griffith! The women's bball team was exciting to watch this year and seems loaded for next year as well. As for mens bball, it's time for a coaching change. Enough is enough.

Except that Coach Engles is bringing in some outstanding talent for next season, let's give him some more time.
