So, my previous post had relevance for about 10 minutes.
The starting lineups have just been announced for the season opener at CCSU.
Top Revelations:
Josh Bean gets the start at QB
Will Allen gets the start at the open CB position vacated by the graduated Cameron Roane.
Freshman Dante Miller and junior Lynnard Rose get the "either/or" nod as starting RB's. Miller, OL Stew Newblatt, and DB Fara'ad McCombs are the only freshmen to crack any starting or backup position on the two-deep.
There are lots of changes on the O-line. Sophomore Josh Kaminski, who was a D-lineman last year and is still listed that way on the roster, gets the start at the crucial LT position. Kaminski was a standout O-lineman in high school.
Junior Isaac Werkman is the other surprise starter at RT.
Junior Parker Coogan gets the start at Center after starting last year at RG,
Senior Tyler Schonewolf moves from Center to RG, and senior co-captain Markham Pakune moves from RT to LG.
Sophomore Justin Woodley has indeed jumped to the starting position at middle linebacker.
The D-line starters are sophomore Cooper Wilson and junior Daniel DeLorenzi at DE, and junior Arman Samouk and senior co-captain Mike Hinton at DT.
