Gross Goes Over There

Alex Gross

Today's Super Bowl game does not exactly mark the end of pro football for the season.

NFL Europe begins soon and alltime great Columbia Lion Alex Gross is getting ready to start his pro career in Austria.

Here's a link to Alex's new blog cataloging his experiences overseas.

Good luck Alex!

Columbia basketball did a pretty good job up at Harvard this weekend, even though they just squeaked by Dartmouth. The Harvard game was winnable.
Harvard grad Jeremy Lin looked fantastic playing for the Knicks against the Nets last night- think he came in before Amaker- good for the Ivy League.

The refs just killed us AR Harvard. They sent Harvard to the line 34 times to 8 for us. Mbasically they jobbed us. Terrible officiating runs rampant in the Ivies.

Jake, you can add to your list, Brandon Blackshear, a 5'11" 175 first team all-state defensive back from Sherwood, Oregon. He's also a wide receiver/kick returner/athlete. Blackshear has a3.98 gpa. He is another outstanding incoming player for the Lions at the critical skills positions. Obviously, Columbia will be a much faster and more explosive team this fall with all the incoming talent that Coach Mangurian has successfully recruited.
