Week 9 Picks

The beat goes on this very rough season for yours truly when it comes to prognostications.

I was a sad 1-2 against the spread and 1-2 straight up, to bring my 2012 records to 15-19-2 and 20-16 respectively.

Now to week 9...

Princeton -11 at Yale

I like the Tiger defense's chances against the one-dimensional Yale offense. Plus, Princeton really wants to put an end to this two-game losing streak.

Penn +19 vs. Harvard

Penn is not really that great a team this year, but they have heart and find a way. The Quakers will make this one close for awhile before faltering.

Dartmouth -3 over Brown

The Big Green are at home and getting into a groove.

Let's hope that coach is not too stubborn ..otherwise Columbia has a big problem. The coach has failed to use well a superb quarterback who can run with ease ..and the coach is responsible for two losses. And the Harvard loss didn't have to be that bad.
So let's watch the play calling and the creativity and -let's hope that the coach gets it.. his coaching to date does not instill great confidence in him. Let's hope he is thinking long and hard about the blog comments. Hubris will sink his ship. Brackett should be able to wreak havoc on Cornell ..Cornell surely has not been a good team against the run..so let's run ..Brackett and Garrett...and pass once in a while to keep them honest...Jake is doing a great job. Go Lions.
And all the best to all the seniors!

Princeton kind of flamed out after that big Harvard win, but if they beat Yale we still get the first Bonfire (Big 3 Championship) since 2006 and only the second since I was a student in the 90s (Keith Elias years). Go Tigers!
