Still no RBs?

Yes, a running back. Alan Watson from New Albany High School (Columbus, OH).
http://www.thisweeknews.com/content/stories/newalbany/sports/2013/02/05/new-albany-lee-watson-make-college-decisions.html

Watson’s 1,395 yards and 21 touchdowns on 173 carries led a rushing game that amassed 4,013 yards and averaged 7.5 yards per carry. He also had three kickoff returns for touchdowns, earned first-team all-league and all-district and was named special mention all-state.

I think about 5'9" and 195 lbs.

Jake, what's your take on possibly our best coach leaving after one year in DC role to go to ACC doormat BC as a secondary coach?

I know you asked Jake but I have a friend who played at BC for Lempe and remains close. Lempe has had two other stints at BC and consider it the closest thing to home and he has close ties there. He also said this will probably be Lempe's last job so finishing his career there might have additional meaning.

My guess is that Lempe will get paid more at BC and it would not shock me if he is tight with Addazio who was a HS coach in CT.

Can't blame him for taking that opportunity.

Watson looks like an excellent get. Great sense for finding the open seams. My troubled football soul can rest now that we have an RB.

Now if only another large interior DL would drop in our laps.

Get shot of Watson being carried off the field by his teammates after scoring four TDs in a game.

Great shot, that is. Getting a bit too excited here.

Why not be very excited? Watson does look like an excellent runing back. Watson is a running back who can be described as "SQF," (smooth, quick and fast). He's a breakaway threat. who can score from anywhere on the field. For guys like us who understand the importance of recruiting, it's time to get very excited indeed!

Watson reminds me of Marcorus Garrett. Runs hard, good balance and capable of breaking off long runs. Also seems able to catch the ball out of the backfield.

Watson looks like a smaller but faster and smoother version of Garrett, and if he can put on 10-20pounds should be just as hard a runner, looks like he has a strong build. As another poster pointed out, he seems exceptional at quickly finding the seams, can't teach that. Looks like potential All-Ivy material to me.
