Breaking: Bollinger & Taylor to Speak

Last night at the IFA Dinner, outgoing Columbia Athletic Director Dianne Murphy said that Columbia President Lee Bollinger and consultant Rick Taylor will meet and speak with the football alumni.

This meeting will be sometime next month.

Whether that means we will have hired a new AD and/or football head coach by then is, of course, not clear.

It mystifies me that Columbia has one of the great small college AD's in the country in their backyard , Walt Hameline, from Wagner College- there is no one more qualified or has a better résumé - what are they waiting for? Hameline has also hired great BB coaches at Wagner.

I was just reminded of the fact of the 5:30 bus to deliver the players to workout.
I refuse to read or respond to any future criticisms from us, the couch coaching staff, regarding the talent of any given player. This includes me.
We should be ashamed of all past negative statements about any "kid" that goes through this torture and still keeps up his grades.

Gem of an opportunity to hire Marcus Arroyo as offensive coordinator. He was released by Tampa Bay (an expected move and not his fault). If Rippon is on for the '15 season then you need an offensive coordinator. Make the move, Elizondo is valueless. Don't get excited about up tempo BS. You need efficiency before anything else. In Arroyo you have one of the best young offensive minds with great experience.

What exactly is the Columbia Football Players Club and why does Bollinger communicate only with them and not all alumni?

Coming into February without a football coach or AD-
Bet this is a Div.1 and 1AA record.
It's mystical, and really unfair to the players on the team.

High school ranks nearby have some prospects for HFC.. UNLV resorted to it. Decorated coaches at HS level and some historic bloodlines nearby..

Let's get back to Chick, and the question of the Century:

Why does Bollinger communicate ONLY with the Columbia Football Players Club and not with all alums?

This is the group that Taylor's involvement was announced to, that was invited to meet with Taylor, etc., etc.

Quite frankly, this is egregious. This is an insult. This is stupid.

I have been accepting and encouraged by the recent moves; Murphy and Mangurian and Taylor.I have been positive and appreciative. But this narrow and discriminatory position re info conveyance is unforgiveable. There are some true morons operating at the very highest levels within CU, and they WILL be held accountable unless they change their modus. Not saying it's the Bollster, but he better take a close look at how his minions are handling this. Not good for the legacy, LB.

Can you name the only FCS school in the country without a Head Football Coach?

Coastal Carolina will be installing a teal field surface.
