6-4 280 pound OL/DL Zach Minch has committed to the Lions.
Minch played most of his high school football at Manchester Central High School in New Hampshire, but is currently doing a post grad year at Loomis Chaffee.
Minch will be the second Manchester Central grad to come to Columbia Football, the first being Sean Feren '92. He's also only the second Loomis Chaffee grad to come to the program; the first since Michael Sesit '64.

Jake, it appears as if the one position in which first years virtually never see playing time is on the OL. Last year we seemed to have recruited a few big OLs, none of whom saw significant playing time if my memory serves me correctly. Do we know if any of the current first years will be in the mix for next year? I remember one first year OL who had a number of D1 offers who was from CT, but I don't recall seeing him on the field.
Zach Minch was chosen for the 2017 All-New England Preparatory School Athletic Council, 1st Team, Class A.
Also, Zach was chosen for the 2017 All-State Connecticut Football Team, 2nd Team.
