PACK THIS HOUSE!!! (AGAIN)

I'm confident that Levien Gymnasium will indeed be packed tonight for the big game against Yale in the CIT quarterfinals.

But just in case anyone reading this is still sitting on the fence, this is one last entreaty to get to the game and experience all the positives that a winning and functional Ivy League sports team can bring to the students and alumni.

The Columbia Spectator has this solid analysis of what to expect on the court.

The Vegas betting lines have the Lions as a 4-point favorite.

The truth, too, is that the Columbia Athletics Department offers, game after game in both men's and women's basketball, a very pleasant, affordable game experience in a clean and well-lighted facility. By contrast both the Palestra (its great history of play notwithstanding) and Brown have dingy faciities much in need of upgrading.
And a win tonight would be wonderful.

never mind, I went to the CU hoops page and the link to the streaming site was easy to find...

Point spreads are meaningless in Ivy hoops.
We lost tonite. A shame, but it was a hard fought and close game. Close because of some great 3-point shooting at the end by CU, but Yale took control about halfway thru the 2nd half. One could sense the shift.

I am personally grateful for the enjoyment this team has provided this season. 21-12 is pretty damn good.
I also compliment the Alum Assoc for the nice free buffet at Mel's Burgers. There were alums who hadn't been to a game in years chowing down.

This is what it is all about; contending seriously for a championship with decent teams. We don't need to win all the time; just have a shot.

We have this with BB now, and Baseball. Now. How long will it last, and when will we bring our other teams up to these standards?

That is the job description for the Athletic Department; Competence and competitiveness.

One wonders if they have the message.

Tough loss. Only saw the first half. I thought they would pull it out. I don't think Yale stands a chance in the semis regardless.

Nice year abd definitely optimistic for next year, But I will not be fully satisfied until one of hoops or football wins the Ivies. This has gone on far too long and I am tired of moral victories

Yale draws VMI. There will be no moral victory for the elis.

OMG I AM SLAIN. Yale handled VMI. Something is amiss. They must have put something in their water bottles. Yale is just not that good a team.
