BREAKING: Ohio State LB Transfers to Harvard

Ohio State sophomore backup linebacker Luke Roberts has just announced that he is transferring to Harvard.

He is eligible to play immediately.

Roberts is just the latest player from a major FBS program to transfer to the Ivies this year, a trend I like and may become more popular depending on how successful these moves turn out to be.

Jake, transferring from Stanford to Columbia is one thing, going from a football factory like Ohio State to "The Big H" is something else. Is this an "Amaker admission"? Sorry if I don't share your enthusiasm on this one.

I agree with oldlion. It sure looks like the H's have decided what they need to do to win. I wonder if Amaker sent his assistant coach to work the kid out in a parking lot somewhere in Ohio. Not that the NCAA says there is anything wrong with that. I heard that he is a good judge of talent

oldloion's point is based on "gut-feel" not data .... I'm am suspicous of Harvard/Amaker, but was Wells Childress from A&M the equivalent of an Amaker decision ??? ... I suspect not (again no data) ...
