Going Back to the All Saints Well

Charlie Flores

All Saints OL Charlie Flores has indeed committed to Columbia. Thanks to the readers who tracked this down.

Flores received offers from Texas State and Louisiana Tech.

Flores joins his All Saints teammate Markham Paukune in the Lions class of 2018.

As of now, the class has two sets of players from the same high school teams. That's unusual and it concerns me a bit. There's a scent of recruiting laziness and/or desperation about it.

We shall see.

So, here is the updated list of our confirmed incoming class of 2018 players so far:

1) Collin Breckenridge OL 6-2, 270 lbs. W.B. Ray HS, Corpus Christi, TX

Flores looks pretty solid. Will he be able to get down to 230 by camp?

How can it be laziness??? Flores had offers from Texas State and Louisiana Tech....D1 scholarship schools! Paukune had D1 offers from those schools and Houston. Great pickups for the Lions!

What? No offer from Davidson? It seems like we're basically stealing their recruiting notes in addition to their game strategies. Davidson went 0-11.

Yeah, that's funny about Davidson, how we're getting their recruits. Blind leading the blind. People must think they should stick to basketball even more than we should! Gotta feel for them. Meanwhile, amazingly enough, we're looking pretty good. No QBs yet, though, and very light on receivers, DL and DBs, must be in the second 15 or so. Gotta hope as always.

Exactly what Davidson recruits are Columbia getting? Raye-Redmond and Cutler? I thought Redmond was a good catch! Most of the kids Columbia has had other D1 offers NOT from Davidson. And you guys are definately out of the loop because my source tells me Columbia has over 30 kids so far, some GOOD kids. Maybe you need to bring anonymous posting back to keep you up to date!

I had Bob tagged as a PM plant since the aliases became a requirement. Keep an eye out for Wink Martindale next...

Not hardly a PM plant, just new to this blog, and know a kid that plays for Columbia. Sorry i'm not a PM critic like the rest of Jake and the Jakettes. Kids seem to buy into PM, and his recruits will be Jrs this season think. If Columbia dont show VAST improvements this yr.....OFF WITH HIS HEAD...is that better :)

The problem I have with PM is that he shows little interest or appreciation for the former players. I have been part of CU losing for 30 years and I am so tired of it. I hope we win but it would be a lot easier for me if I felt better about rooring for PM.

few kids buy into PM. the younger kids do and the older ones wanted him out, but fear his wrath. go and talk to some of them.
he is napolean in disguise and he needed a job. it would be easier if he told every coach in america where he learned his skill set so that they could avoid all the mistakes this guy has made.
in my opinion, we are sitting on a recruiting class score of 3 out of 10 relative to the other Ivy's.
