BREAKING: Coaching Staff Officially Announced

Every single one of the confirmed assistants I reported here has now been officially named to Al Bagnoli's staff: http://m.gocolumbialions.com/mobile/ViewArticle.dbml?atclid=209966690&DB_OEM_ID=9600&

One piece of news I was not at liberty to report has also now been made official: WR Coach Mark Fabish has also been given the title of Assistant Head Coach.

This is a stellar staff the likes of which Columbia has never seen for football.

At least on paper this looks like the most accomplished staff we have ever had. Great mix of age and experience. Proof positive that the administration is putting its money where it's mouth is.

McLaughlin was Bagnoli's coordinator the past 6 years- wonder why he didn't make him coordinator at Columbia- perhaps he wanted to change the offensive system.

McLaughlin also was Penn's offensive line coach the past NINE years, including the past six when he did double duty as off. coordinator plus OL coach.

My guess is that Bagnoli is aware that our OL is a
key weakness so he wants a trusted, veteran like McLaughlin to straighten that out.

He likes Faragalli too as Off. Coordinator and was able to get him, so he's letting McLaughlin concentrate on the O-line.
