Week 9 Picks

I had a pretty good week eight, going 3-0 straight up and 2-1 against the spread. That puts me at 24-11 straight up and 21-14 ATS for the year.

Penn +2 1/2 vs. Harvard

The Quakers were not exposed by Princeton last week as much as the Tigers showed how good a team they really are. Penn will bounce back and beat the Crimson.

Princeton -17 1/2 at Yale

The Elis are plum terrible. Princeton is plum perfect.

Brown +10 1/2 at Dartmouth

The Big Green don't do blowouts, not against anyone. Dartmouth will win, but not by much.

Re: this Saturday.
I, like all of us, savor every win. Dartmouth was especially sweet, given the circumstances. But I think Cornell will be the most important game to date.
Why? Because it's a game we can win and should win. So it is more a test of character than a test of prowess. This is where the team needs to step up and do the job.
We will see, I believe, just how much progress they have made re maturity and focus and determination. I expect a good result, and will be sorely disappointed if we fail.
It's time to get it done.

Cornell is slight favourite...

Big Dawg, feels we could have written the same prior to the Yale game. I carry the same hope for a Dartmouth~like error free game. Bring that bowl back to manhattan

Nice win for MBB, beating a team 40 spots higher in the RPI ranking in away game. Some new faces on the court.

Character test that we failed.
Handed up this game on a platter, staring with the very first play from scrimmage, a direct pass to a Cornell defender for a pick when our nearest receiver was 5 yards away. Like it was a planned play. What the hell was our QB thinking? Or was he?

Forget the 40 points. Every chance we had, we blew. Three turnovers; 3 Cornell TDs. Some serious growing up and attitude checks need to happen.

Well...i hate that we lost...and was not able to watch the whole game.

BUT, would rather lose like this. We have some talented freshman who will help us do damage for three years to come
