Week 7 Picks

I had a split decision last week, going a solid 5-2 with my straight up picks but just 3-4 against the spread.

My record so far this year is 22-7 straight up and 17-11-1 against the spread.

On to the seven games to pick for this weekend:

Harvard -18 vs. Cornell

The Crimson may toy with the Big Red for a while, but Harvard will finish very strong after almost falling to Holy Cross last week.

Dartmouth +5 ½ vs. Yale

The Big Green and Buddy Teevens really need this win and I think they’ll get it. Yale’s defense will get tested this time.

Lafayette +13 ½ at Princeton

The Leopards are having a down year, but I think they will fare much better against the Tigers than Columbia did. This feels like a 10-point win for Princeton.

Brown -4 at Bryant

You have to like how strong the Bears finished their game against URI last week. Estes and co. are not throwing in the towel on the season and Brown always seems to play these out of conference games very well.

St. Francis +8 vs. Monmouth

The Hawks are starting to get a little road weary, but I still think they win this game against St. Francis. It just won’t be by two scores.

Fordham -30 at Georgetown

The Rams aren’t going to ease off the gas pedal against any Patriot League teams. This will  be ugly.

Penn +19 at William & Mary

You know how Penn wins a lot of championships? They make sure they play their hardest in the games that really count. This game does not count, so I don’t expect the Quakers to win at all. But they should keep it within 17 points or so.

Georgetown keeps it close with a chance for an upset

Dmouth vs Yale is the game to watch this week. Both seem on the upswing. I think Yale's power run game will be too much to handle.

I am not so sure Penn is the same old Penn. Though it is very rare for Penn to be blown out and I haven't seen what W&M can do this year. If W&M is anything like Villanova though it could get out of hand.

Looks like McDonagh will start.
