Sources: Faragalli tapped for OC

EMultiple sources tell me the extremely experienced Mike Faragalli will be the new Columbia offensive coordinator.

Faragalli has been an OC at many schools, and even was a head coach briefly in the CFL. His years as OC at Lafayette when that team was scoring big points and winning championships are most encouraging.

For obvious reasons, I will now honor Roman tradition and refer to the team of Bagnoli, Faragalli and Ferraro as "The Triumvirate."

Where is he coaching now?

I hope that wasn't the triumvirate that got its heads
chopped off by the barbarians. May be better to call them the Manhattan Mafia.

The OC and DC have a lot of experience. Let's hope the entire new Bagnoli crew can get everything together and march it forward. Interesting times ahead.

Coach, googling shows Faragalli is 57, has had some real success but has moved a lot including lately, but that can be good, bad or indifferent. Was dropped as Virginia rb coach after 2012--he blamed the play calling--was then OC at Christopher Newport U in Va. Six weeks ago signed on as OC at Norfolk State, but just jumped to CU.

I think you'd have to ask Bags how good he is.

When is spring ball? Are we sure that Chad Washington will be back? Will there be an open scrimmage? And who will be coaching the OL and DL?

This new OC has plenty of experience- it appears that he has never worked with Al before, but I am not sure.

The Italian-American flavor of the coaching staff feels right. I would make them a lasagna if I was in town.

They sound like a Bronx law firm.

Actually, the first triumvirate began in one of my favorite towns,Lucca, when Julius, Pompei and Marcus Crassus had a sit down and agreed to run Rome together. PS also great olive oil there.

Old Lion, according to Football Scoop, the OL coach is supposed to be Jon McLoughlin, the Penn ol coach the past 9 years, who has also been Penn's offensive coordinator the past 6 years.

They haven't ID'd a dl coach definitely but reported Yale dl coach Rick Flanders had resigned and was rumored to be moving to Columbia.

They haven't mentioned a wr coach. Nor a qb coach
either, though often the OC takes that on.

Like to know who will be the recruiting coordinator, hopefully, someone who has done the job previously.

Faragalli is coaching the QBs in addition to OC duties.

The Italian Antidefamation League is putting out a contract on Big Dawg for his insensitive comments.

Word is Everett Golsen from Notre Dame is looking to transfer- are we talking to him?

If McLauglin was Bagnoli's OC at Penn for 6 years, why is he not the OC at Columbia?

Will Faragalli bring David Watford, QB from Virginia, looking to transfer?

Since it's become rather quiet…anyone know why ONE asst was retained, young RB coach Chad Nice?
Is he special, or do they want to retain one coach for
continuity with the players?

Chad played in the league-now coached in the league- really good guy- I am sure he recruits well- makes sense to keep-

He had a good playing career at Cornell. Bags probably remembers him and respects his abilities.
