Jon Poppe
According to his Twitter feed, Harvard secondary coach Jonathan Poppe has switched to Columbia in the same position on Al Bangnoli's new staff.

If the name sounds familiar, it should. Poppe's dad Bill Poppe '70 was a player for the Lions as was his brother Will Poppe '00, who was a freshman contributor on the great 1996 Lions team.
Friends, doesn't it feel great to see our staff is being filled by names we actually know and names we respect?
The next few days are going to be full of more moments like this as Bagnoli assembles the most experienced and accomplished staff in Ivy football history.

The Poppe family have been long time residents of Upper Saddle River, NJ. I think the family has ties to Bergen Catholic, a football powerhouse.
Baseball splits four game series with #6 Houston. They play at the same facility at Baker, face the same issues of daily uptown commute, yet perennial win or challenge for Ivy title.
Likewise for Tennis...13 th ranked in nation

Bags or Pilling said that with the use of the WS Highway and the off hours for practice the bus ride is only 15 minutes.

We do need better coaching in the defensive secondary (and everywhere else).
I remember in college before we had the UWS highway open I calculated that in my 4 years at CU I had spent over 4 months in buses.
Sorry Coach, but we have had 50 years plus of bad coaching, especially when you factor in that a huge part of "coaching" is recruiting.
It will be interesting to see which assistant coaches that are on the staff at Penn currently follow Bags to Columbia
The West Side Highway has been used since the early 1990's. This isn't something new.
