Molina deserved better. Absoltely terrible QB play and WR play. Beonehead penalties on the OL in pass pro and terrible turnovers. We gift wrapped that game for Cornell with our offensive miscues.
I hope this is the last time I say this in the Bagnoli era. That was an unacceptable result. I can appreciate a defensive struggle but to not score at all?
Was in the stands. Very reminiscent of the '71 game and Schoellkopf where a win would have meant a share of the title; 24-21 loss. No question Molina and the D deserved better. Somewhat dubious play calling particularly the pass on 3rd and short in the first series and the fake punt which should have simply been a "go for it" on fourth. Overall it seemed like the O was playing not to lose. They certainly were not crisp. I think Coach pulled the plug a bit too early on Mornhinweg. Without his athleticism the interception would have been a pick-six. He also has the best footwork of the two qbs. The debacle in the red zone was made even worse by having to waste a timeout. One can only hope this was an anomaly and not a step backwards. No question Coach is a great one and will be able to teach the boys "how to win". I'm sure going forward Coach's teams will have a kicker with a strong leg. -M. Mailman
I still cannot believe that Molina rushed for 151 yards, Watson almost took it to the house, and we could not score even a FG. The holding penalty on the Hill TD was the killer for me. I think was happened was that Mornhinweg couldn't throw effectively into, the wind, and His two turnovers caused Al to pull the plug on him. I saw this as a classic trap, game in which we would have needed to take it to Cornell early and we failed to do so.
Didnt someone who in fact runs this site tell me to "expect victory?" On more or less the same day that our esteemed POTUS told me that ISIS was "contained?" Do I see a patrtern here?
There were a few years recently when I also (just like I;m being told to do htis season, even, sort of, by the New York Times) was led ti expect a title in men's Ivy basketball.
But just as in that 8-2 season in football which was Marcellus Wiley's senior year, God always pulls up Lions fans up short. And seems to do so with relish. Listen, Lord, how much do we have to apologize cir the madness of '68, ya know?
But there is next year. And for men's basketball this year. We hang on. Go on. Still sing along to "Roar Lion Roar" even as I suspect those echoes of the Judson Valley remain a bit inclined to slumber (even as over at nearby Fordham they revel). This is one if the rare times when I at least semi-get E.M. Forster's advice that we all "only connect."
That said, let's not kid ourselves, yesterday's game was a disaster.
Disappointment yes, disaster no. The defense was stout, Molina was incredible, but we are not yet a complete team. Before the season Al wanted to get the kids back to enjoying the game again, then playing hard, and finally being competitive along with picking up a few wins. While we played a poor offensive game except for Molina it isn't as if we collapsed. We got outplayed when it mattered. Hopefully with the next few recruiting classes we'll be a more complete team. And hopefully we'll play a great game next Friday night and win.

We can't seem to generate any offense.
Frustration- we gave it away....

We averaged 4.7 yards per play and could not score a point. Seems unbelievable.
Wow, how do CU play so well against "better" teams but lose like this...
By definition you can't win if you don't score. Didn't listen or watch this one, but good on our D again. Offense not so much.
Maybe it's time to take a hard look at the OC?
No separation from WRs. Dumb penalties. Turnovers. Poor QB play.

Our offense was feckless. I have conferred with Big Dawg. He agrees.

PS, great quote by Coach Fab on Twitter this morning. Love his attitude!
