Solo Scored the Winning TD in the 1988 Streak-Breaker vs. Princeton
Johnson has been battling some serious illnesses in recent
years, but this appears to be his biggest medical challenge to date.
He is on a respirator and battling double-pneumonia.
Let’s all keep “Solo” and his family in our prayers.

Fellow Lions- I went to see Solomon today. It is not good news I'm afraid. I was in tears 2 minutes in to seeing him on the ventilator. He was unconscious, but I held his hand, said a prayer, and then goodbye. There is comfort knowing that he is surrounded by his loving family and his Deacon. Thank you all for your continued prayers.

Thank you, Greg, for letting us know about your backfield partner on one of our most historic teams.
With a heavy heart, I regret to inform you all that we lost Slomon 20 minutes ago. Thank you all for your prayers! When I know more, I will advise...
Always,

Very sad news, but thanks for passing it along Greg.
Sorry to hear the news, Solo will always be remembered by his Columbia family and many others I'm sure..........
God bless the guy. They seem so powerful on the football field but are mortal after all. Taken too soon from us, condolences to his family and survivors.
