Fordham takes on Temple at the 68,532 seat Lincoln Financial Field
Thankfully, this is the final week that we are forced to only talk about other teams playing games.
But Fordham's game notes for the Rams big game at Temple are now out. There aren’t
any major changes to the lineup, but there is some shuffling in the defense.
When was the last time Fordham and Temple squared off? Try
1953 at the Polo Grounds when the Rams beat the Owls 26-0.
The pundits are not too impressed by Fordham despite the big
win over Villanova on Saturday. Temple is favored by 20 ½ points in the game.
But to be fair, without the win over ‘Nova the Rams would probably be 30 point
underdogs.
Lehigh's game notes are out for its game Saturday at Monmouth. It appears
Lehigh has just carbon copied its two deep from last week, (it even still says “CCSU”
on the top), so I’m not sure if it’s close to accurate… not that two deeps are
ever 100% accurate anyway.
The betting line for the Lehigh-Monmouth game, (that’s
Mountain Hawks vs. jus the plain old Hawks), is interesting. Lehigh is just a 5
½ point favorite over a Monmouth team that didn’t look great in week one and
looked worse in week two. Now, remember that betting lines are not supposed to
be actual predictions of the final score as much as they are intended to induce
the most betting on both sides… but this seems like a very thin spread. Perhaps
there is some real concern about Lehigh’s defense after giving up so many
points in the 51-44 double OT win vs. CCSU.
My predictions for the above two games will be out Friday.

Magnificent tribute to the 9/11 victims on College Walk. I'm proud of Columbia for this gesture of respect. Check out the pictures.
