Moment #40: Connors' Clutch Catch
After Luke Eddy's 25 yard field goal cut Dartmouth's lead to 7-3, the Lions picked up their momentum on the next Big Green possession. when Chad Washington forced a Big Green fumble that Josh Martin recovered at the Dartmouth 29.
Although Columbia went three-and-out on their possession, the Big Green really just delayed the pain.
The next Dartmouth possession resulted in another punt that gave the Lions the ball at their own 48.
Six plays later, highlighted by a 16 yard run by QB Sean Brackett, the Lions had a 2nd and nine at the Green 16 with about 1:30 left in the half.
On that play, Brackett lofted a high pass toward the left corner of the north end zone. Although he was well-covered, freshman WR Chris Connors made a stunning over the shoulder grab for the score.
Connors would finish the season as the #2 Lion WR in terms of total catches and yards, and his three TD's actually led all receivers in 2012.
And as spectacular as this catch was, he would actually top it a few weeks later.
