Moment #50: You Can't Stop Marcorus
The Columbia defense forced the Quakers to punt after it had a FG attempt blocked, giving Penn the ball at the Quaker 23 early in the 4th quarter.
That put the Lions on their own 31 and a 13-10 lead with about 13 minutes left in the game.
QB Sean Brackett got the drive rolling with a nice 16 yard run on 2nd and 13, but then it was time to go back to Garrett.
On 1st and 10 from the CU 44, Garrett scampered after a short pass from Brackett for a 25 yard gain.
But he was just warming up.
On the next play, Garrett got loose along the visitor sideline and dashed into the end zone for a 31 yard TD.
The only thing that seemed to be able to stop #23 at that point were the Columbia coaches, who apparently were getting concerned about Garrett's fatigue on that warm October day.
