Transfer Terminal

Brandon Hill

I missed this earlier, but week two opponent Monmouth is likely to make Brandon Hill the starting QB for the Hawks this season.

The reason that’s bigger-than-usual news is that Hill was once a prize recruit for the UMass football program and he even started three games for the Minutemen in 2011. And at 6-5 and 230 pounds, he’s a load to bring down.

So Wien Stadium on 9/28 will be HQ for big deal transfer QB's now starring for their new schools.

Just checked the Monmouth roster... they have six 300+ pounds offensive linemen, and five more at 290 plus.
Yikes, the Russians are coming!

Sounds like a good group if you are a cardiologist.

Why are we playing a school with zero academic standards?

Not really sure it's fair to disparage Monmouth when Columbia has played many schools with (perceived) lower academic standards OOC throughout the years. No one will confuse Sacred Heart with Stanford or Duquesne with Duke either.

The out of conference schools we play are on the schedule because they're available. The available pool of non-scholarship schools out there is shrinking.

Brown is a member of the Ivy League. We have to play them.
