Columbia would endure three losses in 2013 where the offense
was unable to get a winning score on a last minute drive.
The week six Homecoming game against Dartmouth would be the
third and final case.
Now trailing 21-16 after a Big Green TD with 1:31 left in
the game, the Lions got a big break when Dartmouth kicker Riley Lyons kicked
the ball out of bounds. That and a Green penalty gave Columbia the ball at the
50.
But after a 1st down pass to Hamilton Garner put CU on the Dartmouth 40, nothing good happened
for the Light Blue.
An incomplete pass, a holding penalty, a three yard
scramble, a sack and finally an INT by QB Sean
Brackett sealed Columbia’s fate.
The Lions Homecoming losing streak had hit the 12 year mark
in yet another heartbreaking defeat.

Hard to put it on the offense when it gets the ball back with less than two minutes and needs a TD. Against Yale they got it done. I would put it on the defense to fail to come up with the one big stop against Penn and Yale, thus snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
Jake, Oldlion is almost right. The end of this game should have been taking a knee after the "D" got a stop instead of giving up a TD and91 yards.
However, I think hat we were dead last in Ivy scoring per game. We got 16 at Homecoming , but we should have scored more. If we are last in scoring this season, don't expect many wins. Period!!
Coach M knows this; I trust.
